Getting to know the Schneider contactor
A contactor is a magnetic switch that is used to disconnect and connect the circuit and control and command electrical circuits. This key consists of two cores in the shape of E or U, one of which is fixed and the other is movable and separated by a spring.
In the middle of the fixed core, there is a bobbin or coil. When the coil is electrified, an electromagnetic force is induced in the fixed core, using the magnetic property, it neutralizes the tension force of the spring and brings the moving core closer to the fixed core, causing the contacts to connect to each other. In other words, this action causes the main contacts of the Schneider contactor to close and the secondary contacts of the contactor to change state. It means closed contacts are open and open contacts are closed.
Contactors connect directly to high current devices.In other words, the contactor consists of an electromagnet, one side of which is mobile, and the same mobile part is held by a spring from the fixed part, and in this part, a series of insulated contacts are connected to it and move with it.
Contactors along with miniature switches and fuses are used in electrical panels and circuits, for example, in the star-triangle circuit and all kinds of power and steering circuits
